Step 1: Install the Hello Elementor Theme
In the left-hand menu, go to Appearance > Themes.
Click the “Add New” button at the top.
In the search bar, type “Hello Elementor.”
Find the theme in the results and click “Install.”
Once it’s installed, click “Activate.”
Why Hello Elementor?
It’s a lightweight, fast-loading theme made specifically to work seamlessly with Elementor. It’s basically a blank canvas for you to design on—perfect for customizing every part of your website.
Step 2: Install the Elementor Plugin
In the left-hand menu, go to Plugins > Add New.
Search for “Elementor” in the plugin search bar.
Click “Install Now” on the Elementor Website Builder plugin.
After installation, click “Activate.”
Tip: Elementor will guide you through a setup wizard after activation. You can either follow it or skip it—we don’t need to set it up for this course.
Step 3: Install Unlimited Addons for Elementor
This plugin gives us extra design tools while also giving us the ability to add a custom header and footer.
Go to Plugins > Add New again.
Search for “Unlimited Elements for Elementor.”
Find it in the results (look for a blue icon with a small puzzle piece) and click “Install Now.”
Click “Activate” once installed.
Note: If you’re using the free version, you’ll get access to a limited selection of addons. You can upgrade later if you want more design flexibility.
Step 4: Confirm Everything is Installed
Go to Appearance > Themes and ensure Hello Elementor is active.
Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and check that both Elementor and Unlimited Addons for Elementor are activated.
If any plugin is not active, click the “Activate” link under its name.
