Once your site is complete, it’s time to take it live. This lesson will walk you through migrating your WordPress site from a staging environment (like CloudAccess.net) to your final live domain using the All-in-One WP Migration plugin. It’s a simple process, but one that’s essential to get right so your site launches smoothly.
Step 1: Prepare Your Staging Site
Make sure everything is finished: all pages, mobile optimization, featured images, and Yoast SEO settings.
Confirm that you’re still working inside the staging environment.
Step 2: Install the WP Migration Plugin
Go to Plugins > Add New.
Search for All-in-One WP Migration by ServMask.
Click Install then Activate.
Tip: Only install plugins from trusted sources with high ratings and lots of active installations.
Step 3: Export Your Website
Hover over All-in-One WP Migration in the sidebar.
Click Export > Export to File.
Wait for the export to finish. (Don’t touch it while it runs—this can interrupt the process.)
When complete, a green Download button will appear. Click it to download your .wpress file.
Step 4: Set Up Your Live Domain
Log into the dashboard of your live hosting account.
Install the All-in-One WP Migration plugin again.
Go to Import > Import from File, and select your .wpress file.
Wait for the import process to finish.
Click Refresh when prompted, and your site will be live.
Step 5: Post-Migration Checklist
Note: Some hosts may restrict file sizes (usually around 360–500 MB for free versions). If your site is bigger, you may need the premium plugin (~$20).
Make sure you have correct user login details—CloudAccess creates random logins, so set your own user with a memorable email and password.
If needed, contact your new hosting support to assist with importing.
